About This Course

In the next few hours, we will explore the importance of incorporating a gender perspective in the management of water resources and will learn how to integrate a gender lens in projects and organizations focusing on water governance. The course will examine particular case studies from Central Asia, however the tools can be applied to a variety of contexts. Participants will also become familiar with the role of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and its international partners in this field. The learning module aims to provide a preliminary introduction to gender mainstreaming in water governance in an engaging manner.
